I recognize that children are not just small adults and have special needs that we must address individually. My fellowship mentors are pioneers in the field of pediatric orthopaedic sports medicine, from whom I learned techniques to respect and protect the growth plate while operating on torn ligaments or cartilage injuries. My goal is to return the recreational or high-level athlete to the performance level they were at prior to their injury.
